Dr. Julia Eka Rini got her Master’s degree from IKIP Malang with a thesis on teaching translation to S1 students. She got her doctoral degree from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta, with a dissertation also on translation. Since 1984, she has been a translator and an interpreter. Since 1994, bringing her experience in translation and interpreting to the classroom, she has been teaching at Petra Christian University, among others, translation, interpreting, and language acquisition.
